Robert Tritthardt - Unfortunately born and unwillingly raised in the northern suburbs of Chicago, Robert lived inside a shoebox at the bottom of a closet (not that kind of closet) until he went to the middle of the corn fields to attend college. During the last two years working towards a degree in illustration he drew a comic strip called "Schwartz" for the school newspaper. "Schwartz" succeeded its mission in pissing off bible bangers and frat boys, so much to the point where Robert was receiving hate mail and death threats.
He loved it.
During those two years he went black and started a short lived comic strip series called "Gothic Clockwork".
Writhe and Shine was created in 1998 when he moved to New Orleans.
He started Über Comics (his own independent publishing company) and has since produced two full length comic books and several ashcans and a Trade Paper Back of his online strips.
Robert now still wears black but doesn't consider himself a 'goth' any more.
He moved to Seattle in June 2005 where the weather is more to his liking. He spends his time occasionally deejaying, working on his next mix disc, writing and drawing his comics, practicing kung fu, answering e-mail, playing with his cat Mao, playing RPGs, working at his job at high profile art gallery or hanging out with his hot girlfriend! Currently he is working on Writhe and Shine Book #3.
